Mike Lafreniere, Owner & Founder

Having extensive knowledge and experience is a crucial element when it comes to any business or project in the IT industry. Mike has been working within the IT industry since early 2000. As the entrepreneur of Snagged Internet Services, a web design and hosting company located in Sudbury, Mike's passion and devotion for technology was only exceeded by his thirst for knowledge. Over the years he has mastered multiple skills, including web design, server administration, online marketing, and project development.

Mike's professional experience includes over 4 years as a Sales Manager within a Fortune 500 corporation which he has used to develop a wide range of skills that have helped him succeed in online marketing and promotions.

Now he brings his years of expertise in sales, management, marketing and the IT industry to the Visit Sudbury Now team as the owner and founder of the company. He has taken on the role of Project Developer with responsibilities that include script creation, feature development, page development, and is an active member in the sales and support teams within the organization.

Brian Muldoon

Brian Muldoon, Marketing Manager

With skills coming from years of experience in multiple industries, and recent sales and marketing positions, Brian is the perfect candidate to communicate a mutual benefit and provides the understanding that is needed to be an asset to our team.

Having graduated from Business Administration - Accounting at Cambrian College, in the top percentile of his program, he combines this with practical experience from past endeavours to perform beyond expectations.

Brian has been involved with technology for many years, and has made it a personal goal to remain in touch and up to date with technology, utilizing it to its fullest for every task he takes on.

Utilizing his skills and his experience in multiple fields, he has taken the title of Marketing Manager within the Visit Sudbury Now team, and has shown his dedication to assisting local businesses, not-for-profit organizations and the general public in promoting our community by partnering up with likeminded individuals whom also have experience in the industry.

Jessica Sawicz

Jessica Sawicz, Staff Writer

Jessica has had a passion for words and storytelling for as long as she can remember. What started as a mere childhood interest has now grown into a fulfilling and successful career. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Rhetoric and Media from Laurentian University and has attended courses in Cambrian College's Journalism program. Since her graduation, she has worked on a number of different projects both as a freelance writer and editor.

Continuing to develop and refine your skills is a crucial element in the writing industry. Jessica is currently a member of the Editors' Association of Canada and is frequently attending their professional development workshops and seminars. No matter how much experience you have, there is always something new to learn.

Now she brings her proficiency in the English language to the Visit Sudbury Now team as the writer for the company. Her responsibilities include writing web-content, writing biographies of local businesses, proof-reading content submitted to the website, attending local events and writing articles about their happenings.
